MapJoin your fellow CASMI members for the organization's February Membership Meeting on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Richard J. Dalley College, Manufacturing Technology & Engineering Center (MTEC - Room 110) in Chicago, Illinois. This will be quite an event on advanced manufacturing training at Daley College, featuring an overview of available programs, tour of the new Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Center (MTEC), and a reception/dinner (plenty of food and beverage but alcohol free due to location) following the program. Please register online using the "Register" link above.

Registration

Up to three (3) individuals from CASMI Member Companies (Primary and Associate) can attend this meeting at no cost. Additional individuals from the same company can be registered at the rate of $50 per person. This event is only available to member companies and their employees.

Advanced Manufacturing Training at Daley College

MEC CenterLearn about the Maintenance, CNC, Welding and QA programs available to employees and students at the new Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Center (MTEC) at Daley College.  After a brief orientation to the College, participants will tour the new facility including the many hands on training labs and you will have a chance to demonstrate your welding skills on the center’s new virtual welding trainer.

 

The 57,000-square foot facility is equipped to prepare students for careers in engineering and advanced manufacturing, industries that are expected to bring more than 50,000 jobs to the region over the next ten years. The new equipment and capabilities at MTEC will enable students to participate in a hands-on curriculum that prepares them for the technological advancements in the engineering and manufacturing industries. The facility includes: a manufacturing high bay space, CNC machining equipment and a maker space, classrooms, engineering and manufacturing labs, computer labs and administrative space. There is a new pedestrian bridge that connects MTEC to the existing Daley College building.
