CASMI Offers You the Best Value for Your Yearly Membership Dues
The following services are offered to CASMI Primary Members (Spring Manufacturers):
The Chicago Association of Spring Manufacturers (CASMI) sponsors frequent meetings featuring educational information for our Members. Members can participate at no cost in a cocktail hour followed by a speaker, and ending in a delicious dinner. Presentations are prepared by industry experts discussing timely topics of interest to our members. Up to two people from each Member Company can join the Primary Member at each meeting without additional charge. (Estimated yearly value for one person attending every meeting - $280.00.)
CASMI is proud to sponsor the CASMI Scholarship Program to benefit employees and the dependents of individuals employed at member companies. All the employees of dues paying CASMI Primary Member companies and their dependents are eligible to apply for the scholarship which is awarded annually. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin. CASMI members and staff are not involved in the selection process in any way. The scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a division of Scholarship America®. Scholarship Management Services to assure impartiality. Member companies and their employees do not pay fees to apply for the CASMI Scholarship Program (Estimated Value - $1,500 to $2,500 per scholarship awarded.)
Member Continuing Education Tuition Reimbursement Program
Funded by CASMI every CASMI Primary Company can receive reimbursement of $100 per eligible continuing educational program up to a total of $500 per year. (Estimated value - $500.00.)
Member companies are listed on www.casmi-springworld.org, a source of business leads from companies looking for a quality spring and wire form supplier. Search by product types, location, company, etc. to help prospective spring customers to find their ideal spring manufacturer. We are also working on providing Member companies with the ability to update their own listings allowing the listings to be used as an additional marketing tool. Additional services such as member bulletin boards may be added depending on member demand (Value - unknown.)
CASMI Connections Newsletter
The CASMI Connections newsletter allows the organization to stay in touch with our members and provide information about association updates, industry news, upcoming events and other items of interest to our members. The CASMI Connection is distributed three times per year, Winter, Spring/Summer, Fall, as an electronic, PDF publication.
Member & Supplier Golf Outing
The annual CASMI Golf Tournament is held every spring and offers both CASMI Members, SpringWorld Exhibitor and their industry colleagues a relaxed networking atmosphere with plenty of good fellowship, lot’s of prizes, good food and cheer.
Day at the Races
Added to the CASMI Networking Calendar in 2009, the Annual CASMI Day at the Races has quickly become a favorite among CASMI Members and Spring Industry Suppliers alike. This unique event features a private suite with a delicious buffet lunch, 4-hour open bar, private betting window and of course thoroughbred horse racing at beautiful Arlington Park Racetrack.
Biennial Spring Fling Dinner Dance
This biennial event is held in February and has developed into the Spring Industry’s most elegant social event. The gala features live entertainment, an amazing selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, sumptuous dinner, open bar and live entertainment and each lady in attendance is presented with a gift!
The following services are offered to CASMI Associate Members (Suppliers):
Associate members can participate in all CASMI activities, dinner meetings and special events throughout the year offering direct access to spring companies on a regular basis. And these Associate Member companies can designate two company representatives to attend the regularly scheduled meetings held throughout the year. Dinner costs are covered by the Annual Dues.
